Dear Web Developer, what drives your code? Are you powered by MSG-infested ramen fuels all the time? How do you cope with your hectic schedule? How can you come up with the latest web coolness when all you eat is junk? No luscious farm nearby? Do you want a cute beetle car regularly stop by your pad? Fret no more! Here comes Westside Organics right to your doorstep to the rescue.
Westside Organics is a Hayward based company that provides organic delivery service currently around the San Francisco Bay Area. Started by software consultant Ash Sud and his wife Sonia, the couple thought of establishing a business inspired by another organic delivery service five years ago.
Having faith in the future of the organic industry, now a USD14 Billion market and still growing, Ash and Sud jumped into the organic trend and thought of “developing a socially responsible business” which offered customers deliveries of fresh organic produce, time savings, and extra money in their bank accounts. The two had an epiphany one day, brainstormed a business plan and began meeting with farmers and local organic distributors.

As their patrons grew at a stellar rate, who are likewise of computer-savvy demographic (in Silicon Valley, who isn’t? :D), the founders have finally decided to launch a website for greater reach and accessibility.
The brand new website WestsideOrganics.com is identified by its lime green layout with variable masthead colors that depict the rich and nutritious organic products they offer. Not only does it please the eye but it also provides users a robust back-end shopping cart powered by Java Server Pages. Thanks to the talented bunch at Grapefruit, this wonderful experience has been achieved.
The Romanian-based web development studio was also commissioned to create an entire identity that would embody Westside Organics’ principles, “From the Farm to Your Door”, drive traffic to the website, increase sales and attract media’s attention. The response of the designers was a tower of green leaves, something which is automatically associated with a natural, fresh and healthy feeling.
Not surprisingly, WestSide Organics enjoyed a significant expansion of both its income and customer base. The cute attractive design of the delivery automobiles was noticed by the media folks and its surrounding community. Who wouldn’t want to look at the beetle car with its unique eye-catching leafy aesthetic? Beat that, Xzibit!
So come on, why don’t you try it yourself? Harmful pesticides are a hefty USD8 Billion business. You can be proactive by eating healthy while protecting the very health of our farmers from pesticide poisoning.

Hey, I noticed your link to the Westside Organics website leads to a 404 on your site (probably left out the http:// part of the URL). Anyway, thanks for the heads up. I like wasting time in Whole Foods, but maybe I’ll check this out.
Thanks, chris! Damn! All fixed now.
